1. Who We Are
Digtize, operating under the brand name Wahob ("Digtize," "Wahob," "we," "our," or "us"), provides the Wahob website, platform, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Our registered office is L/D 308, CHD City, Karnal, Haryana, India, 132001.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, how we share and protect it, and the choices available to individuals. When we determine why and how personal data is processed, Digtize acts as a data controller or data fiduciary. When we process contacts, messages, and other customer-provided data solely on a business customer's instructions, that customer is the controller or data fiduciary and Digtize acts as its processor or data processor.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide
- Account and identity data: name, business name, email address, telephone number, login credentials, role, and account preferences.
- Billing data: billing address, tax information, plan and transaction history, and limited payment information supplied by our payment processor. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
- Customer content: contacts, telephone numbers, consent records, messages, media, templates, campaigns, chatbot and workflow configurations, support records, and other content submitted through the Service.
- Communications: information in support requests, feedback, surveys, and other communications with us.
2.2 Meta and WhatsApp Data
When you use Facebook Login, WhatsApp Embedded Signup, the WhatsApp Business Platform, Instagram, Messenger, or another Meta integration, we receive only the data and permissions you authorize or that are necessary for the integration. Depending on the features used, this may include:
- Facebook user ID, name, email address, public profile information, and granted permissions.
- Meta business portfolio, Facebook Page, Instagram account, WhatsApp Business Account, phone-number, app, and system-user identifiers.
- Access tokens, authorization codes, token status, and integration configuration. Credentials are protected and used only to operate the authorized integration.
- WhatsApp customer telephone numbers or business-scoped identifiers, profile names, message content and media, message templates, webhook events, delivery/read status, timestamps, and conversation metadata.
- Instagram or Messenger messages, comments, account metadata, and webhook events when you enable those channels.
We do not use data obtained from Meta or WhatsApp for unrelated advertising, sell it, or share it with data brokers. Data obtained through WhatsApp is used only as reasonably necessary to support messaging with the relevant person, provide requested Service features, secure the Service, and comply with law and applicable Meta and WhatsApp terms.
2.3 Shopify Data
When a merchant connects a Shopify store, we receive only the store data and permissions needed to provide the ecommerce features the merchant enables. Depending on those features, this may include:
- Shop domain, store identifier, store name, currency, locale, and integration configuration.
- OAuth access credentials, authorization status, and webhook metadata used to operate and secure the connection.
- Product, inventory, order, fulfillment, checkout, and customer records required for synchronization, messaging, and automation.
- Customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, shipping or billing details, order references, and purchase history where the merchant authorizes and uses features that require this information.
We process Shopify data only to provide merchant-requested functionality, support the connected store, secure and troubleshoot the integration, and comply with applicable law and Shopify requirements. We do not sell Shopify merchant or customer data or use it for unrelated advertising.
2.4 Data Collected Automatically
- Usage and log data: pages and features used, actions, timestamps, referring URLs, IP address, errors, and diagnostic records.
- Device data: browser, operating system, device type, language, screen size, and device or cookie identifiers.
- Cookie and analytics data: information collected through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Meta Pixel where configured. See our Cookies Policy.
3. How and Why We Use Data
- Provide, authenticate, configure, maintain, support, and improve the Service.
- Connect authorized Meta and Shopify assets and send, receive, synchronize, route, and report on authorized data and webhook events.
- Create accounts, manage subscriptions, process payments, and send service communications.
- Provide customer support and respond to questions, complaints, and rights requests.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our Terms.
- Generate analytics and improve features, generally using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law; recipients can unsubscribe at any time.
- Comply with law, valid legal process, and applicable Meta and WhatsApp requirements.
Depending on the jurisdiction and context, our legal bases include performance of a contract, consent, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Service. Where a customer controls data, we process it under that customer's instructions.
4. WhatsApp Messaging Responsibilities
Business customers determine the recipients and content of their communications and must provide required privacy notices, obtain all necessary rights and opt-in permissions, maintain evidence of consent, and honor requests to stop or opt out. A recipient can block or report a business within WhatsApp. Our customers' independent privacy practices apply to data they control, and individuals should also contact the relevant business when exercising rights concerning that business's messages.
5. How We Share Data
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it only as follows:
- Meta and WhatsApp: data necessary to operate the integrations selected by a customer, subject to Meta's and WhatsApp's applicable terms and privacy practices.
- Shopify: data necessary to install, authenticate, operate, secure, and support a merchant-authorized Shopify integration, subject to Shopify's applicable terms and privacy practices.
- Service providers: vetted hosting, storage, security, communications, analytics, support, and payment providers that process data for us under contractual safeguards.
- Customer-authorized integrations: third-party services a customer elects to connect, according to that customer's configuration.
- Legal and safety: when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and prevent fraud or abuse. See our Government Data Request Policy.
- Corporate transactions: in a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, to provide the Service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type and customer configuration. Account and customer content is ordinarily deleted or de-identified within 30 days after a verified deletion request or account termination, unless a longer period is required by law. Residual encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 days before cycling out and are not used for ordinary business purposes.
Meta access tokens and integration data are deleted or invalidated when an integration is disconnected, authorization is withdrawn, the account is deleted, Meta directs deletion, or the data is no longer needed. Removing Wahob from Facebook App Settings stops future non-public access but may not delete previously stored data; submit a request through our Data Deletion page to delete data held by us.
Shopify access credentials and connected-store data are deleted or irreversibly de-identified when the integration is uninstalled, a verified deletion request is received, Shopify sends an applicable compliance request, or the data is no longer required, subject to legal retention obligations. Verified Shopify privacy requests are processed using authenticated compliance webhooks and auditable, tenant-isolated workflows.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, completion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or deletion of personal data, and may raise a grievance or appeal a decision. You may also disconnect Meta integrations in your account or Meta settings and opt out of marketing communications. We may verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.
Submit requests through our Data Deletion page or email support@wahob.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If Digtize processes the data solely for a business customer, we may direct the request to that customer or assist it in responding.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, credential protection, encryption in transit, monitoring, logging, backups, and incident response procedures. Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a business need. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
Digtize and its service providers may process data in India, the United States, and other countries where providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms and contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards. Meta and WhatsApp process data globally under their own applicable terms.
10. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our Service, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide additional notice of material changes where required.
